Merced Behavioral Center is a locked 96-bed skilled nursing facility located in Merced, California, and we have been proudly serving the community since 1973. Merced Behavioral is licensed by the California Department of Health Services and the California State Department of Mental Health and our facility has been awarded a 5-star quality rating by the Department of Public Health Services.

Our main emphasis is placed on helping our residents gain an understanding of their illness and helping acquire the necessary coping skills for successful community placement.

Skilled Nursing
Our nursing department provides excellent care combined with dignity for our residents. Professionally staffed around the clock, we give your loved one comfort and specialized care.
Daily Activities
We strive to keep our residents as active as they can be by providing gentle, structured daily activities customized to meet our resident’s unique individual needs.
Treatment Program
Our Special Treatment Program provides rehabilitative services for residents with a diagnosis of a major mental illness. We provide 24-hour nursing care for our residents by our psychiatric nursing staff. The STP provides 16 hours of structured programming daily provided by our professionally trained staff.
